The market-wide story is Iran: it called the US response to peace terms inadequate, yet futures gained. Amazon is reported to be in talks to buy the AI startup Decart for around $7 billion, a sizable AI deal. Microsoft drew the most coverage: the vice president said it replaced laid-off workers with foreign hires, and Azure growth above 40% is the bar for its October 28 report.
No major economic releases are scheduled today. Earnings are limited to small companies: Netcapital, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and Maison Solutions.
